Robots Rule Weekend
21-22 novembre 2009
Come see dozens of varieties of robots compete and demonstrate at the largest public robot games in Canada.
1/ Canadian National Robot Games
Come watch or participate in the Canadian National Robot Games, the largest public robotics competition in the country. Teams from Canada, the United States and around the world will root for their home-built robotic creations as they battle, race or even create their own art.
Team members range from kids and hobbyists to advanced engineers, researchers and artists.
You'll see individuals and teams' robots compete in six categories:
Sumo - A one-on-one clash of brawn and brain – which robot can push the opponent off the ring first? Remote control and autonomous events.
Line-Follower – Robots track the black line as fast as they can. Look out for crossovers, hairpin curves and gaps! Beginner and Advanced levels.
Fire-Fighter – Flame-sensing, obstacle-avoiding robots seek the fire in a model house and extinguish it.
Search and Rescue – Drive your robot through the maze to the teddy bear, and pull him back to the start, but don’t knock over any walls! A great beginner event. Free registration.
Walker Race – Two legs, four legs, six legs - which robot covers the course the quickest?
Art and Innovation – Robots that entertain, serve, and amaze.
